The EPA, the FCC, the FTC, and Congress Run Amok

A few weeks ago, the Federal Trade Commission decided that it was going to begin regulating internet commerce. It decided that the government needed to begin "protecting" internet consumers from scams and ponzi schemes. The irony is, that the vast and overwhelming majority can recognize those scams when they see them, because of already robust and effective education programs that are sponsored by private enterprises.

A few days later, the FCC Chief Diversity Officer along with the Senate Committee on Communications decided that the internet needed to be governed by a bill for so-called internet "neutrality". The FCC and the Socialist Democrats in Congress have been praised for their efforts as a means for "leveling the playing field" for minorities and impoverished people. Never mind the fact that the internet is quite literally the last frontier where all voices can be heard for a the mere cost of having access to the internet, it must be available to all! For crying out loud, I could still author this blog for the cost of a library card, and those are free in most cities! How much more access do you want?


Now, in more recent news, the Environmental Protection Agency has announced that the Global Warming farce is so dire, that if Congress doesn't pass their economy destroying "Cap and Trade" bill, then the EPA will regulate just "Cap".

Congress then announces--in the form of the horse-faced Senator John Kerry-- effectively, that the EPA has become some sort of out of control government agency that they can't control! This is particularly bewildering considering all it takes to get the EPA back in line is a law stopping them from destroying the economy with their plan.

Ironically, all of this is a sham. Right now in Congress, the radical Socialist-Democrats have suddenly abandoned their  nefarious plans for a robust "public-option" in favor of expanding the ailing and bankrupt MediCare (the other government program).

Uh, duh! How stupid do they think we are?! The sad thing is, I think the Republi-can'ts will bite on this retardation and cripple both themselves and the country. If you remember, the Republicans got maneuvered into fighting to "protect" MediCare's funding.

Is this really where we are headed? These idiots are driving us towards a real revolution!
