Related to the story below, the Senate approved the largest increase to the US National Debt in our nation's two hundred thirty four year history.
What is it going to take to convince the idiots in Congress that we don't want to have every man, woman and child owing $48,000.00 from the moment they are born? I can't believe that there could be such duplicity among even the most dirt bag political hacks.
It is time we say, "This far and no further." In fact, back it up a bit. Like back to the Constitutional limits of the federal government.

Bin Laden Jumps on the Global Warming Bandwagon
CAIRO (AP) - Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has called in a new audiotape for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming.Osama Bin Laden joins the illustrious Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hugo Chavez in demanding that some sort of sanction be lobbied against the United States, because apparently, we are the world's biggest polluter. Go figure.
In the tape, aired in part on Al-Jazeera television Friday, bin Laden warns of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring "the wheels of the American economy" to a halt.
He says the world should "stop consuming American products" and "refrain from using the dollar," according to a transcript on Al-Jazeera's Web site.
The new message, whose authenticity could not immediately be confirmed, comes after a bin Laden tape released last week in which he endorsed a failed attempt to blow up an American airliner on Christmas Day.
I think now we can lob in all of the Progressive moonbats who still believe that Global Warming is man-made in with the enemies of the United States around the world. So, if Congress and the White House continue to insist that we pass some psychopathic "Cap and Trade" Bill, then we can assume that they want to wage war against the United States and are therefore traitors. Of course, it has long been my opinion that they were already traitors, so for me, this changes nothing.
I think it's time to consider some recall elections across the country.
Once Again, the Military becomes a Target of the Left
The Hill reports: Pelosi Would Back Spending Freeze if it also Applies to Defense
Allow me to digress for a moment by mentioning the fact that George W. Bush opened Pandora's Box. He was the one who put contractors in every area of the military under the guise of making it more efficient, when in reality, it was a political ploy to keep from having to substantially increase the size of the military in order to support the war. The idea being, if we reduce the number of non-combat personnel in the military and keep the personnel levels the same, then we can replace non-combat personnel with the same number of combat personnel. Since civilian contractors are not counted as military personnel, no one will care about the fact that in reality, we increased the size of the Department of Defense by almost five-fold. Of course, we will have to offer some incentive for civilians to perform these duties, so we will pay them almost twice as much and grant them "protected status" in labor unions.
Now, don't get me wrong, civilians have always contributed their support to the Department of Defense. They have and continue to play a pivotal role in our nation's history, but they cost way too much for what they contribute in most cases.
Enter Nancy Pelosi. She, like most progressives, wants to hang the military out to dry. They always do. So, I am not buying in to the idea that she wants to "trim" the Pentagon's budget down in order to save the American Taxpayer a few bucks. I am still convinced that she wants to hamstring us.
I recommend that you stay frosty and skeptical of any fiscal responsibility from the Left.
...The Speaker drew a sharp line between support for the troops, and support for military contractors. She said men and women in uniform should not be subject to a freeze, but that “I don’t think that we have to protect military contractors.”Apparently the Speaker thinks that the Military can now be fine without increased support from contractors. While I agree with her statements, and I think that civilian contracts are degenerative to the overall effectiveness of the military, I have seen this game before.

It's Been 24 Hours and the Pressure Builds Some More
The headline on the Drudge Report this morning read: Obama Orders Justice to move Terror Trial out of NYC.
Apparently, the Administration finally got the point. Americans don't want terrorists--no, scratch that, Americans don't want enemies of the United States, especially those who are not American Citizens, to be given the same rights during prosecution of war crimes.
Unfortunately, the Boy who would be King still wants to do just that, just not in New York City. The President insists on continuing this suicidal course of action, despite protests from the American People. It would seem that he has decided that we are too uncultured to understand the importance of being "fair" to our enemies.
Evidently, we are not the constituents of the White House. He is not a servant of the People.
I contend that his continuous disregard for our culture and our history is giving aid and comfort to our enemies. Reprobates like Khalid Sheik Mohammed are definitely aided by the fact that a trial in federal court means that he gets a platform from which he can spout anti-American rhetoric and propaganda. Giving aid and comfort to our enemies is, as defined by the Constitution, Treason.
Treason is an impeachable offense. Take it for what it is.

The White House's Hubris
So, the President of the United States had a lot to say about the things his administration were doing for the first time in history. He started off with how he is posting the White House visitor list online, of course, failing to mention the fact that the visitor list was part of the Freedom of Information Act request. He mentioned the "fact" that he locked lobbyists out of the policy making process. Now that was a huge pile of dog squat. Within minutes, several websites listed the two dozen or so lobbyists in the Potentate's Administration--and that was just at the top levels.
The Boy who would be King then proceeded to castigate the Supreme Court in front of a jeering Democratic Congress. The Supreme Court is not a body that should be chastised in front of anybody in the Federal Government. The Judicial Branch, the Supreme Court, is equal in power to the President and Congress! Who the hell are YOU, Mr President, that you think you can call out the Supreme Court!
The “century old Campaign Reform” law that "Our Dear Leader" was talking about is the 1907 Tillman Act. This was the first law to ban corporations from contributing monetarily to national political campaigns. The real reason “The Anointed One” brought this up was not as a swipe at John McCain (via the McCain- Feingold bill), it was because this was one of fellow Progressive Teddy Roosevelt’s legacies.
Then, Barack Obama, President of the United States and Savior of the Universe, decided that he would override the Senate's decision to not pass a bill creating a commission, by issuing an Executive Order to create the commission. Um, What?! Are you kidding me? He doesn't have the authority to override Congress anymore than he does the authority to reprimand the Supreme Court.
Mr President, if you want to continue to play Julius Caesar in the United States of America, then we are going to show you the same door that we showed Richard Nixon. We are not a dictatorship. We are a Republic, and stunts like the ones you pulled at your State of Confusion Wednesday night will not go unanswered.
